Photo Shoot For Fun

I took the plunge and finally went to a three week photography class. I learned a lot of things not only about my camera but photography in general. It's such a shame that it was my last class this week but I hope sometime in the future I can take another one. The professor was awesome, not to mention one of my favorite photographers. Anyways, I know I have been behind on putting up pictures lately especially with a new job, classes and family stuff in general but I am going to try to put up pictures when I can. Going to start with the most recent in this blog and eventually try to get my favorite photos I've taken since last I was on here uploaded. Enjoy :)

Our instructor asked for a model for one of the classes and this gorgeous woman accepted. Let me first of all say that this woman is not only a pure joy to photograph but also to talk to. She was so easy going about the pictures that myself and my other fellow classmates were taking. It was very hard to choose which pictures I liked the best. We were asked to bring in one photo for the last day of class and though it was hard to narrow down, managed to get it down to two. So without further delay, I introduce to you the lovely Alyssa (go check out people she has modeled for, A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!)

Well I meant to upload these much sooner but I found myself being out of town for a couple of days visiting with my dad and some friends that I've known since I was knee high to a grasshopper. As you can see, one little girl in particular loved having her pictures taken and she was so natural about it too. So here you have it, the rest of the pictures I took last weekend. Feel free to leave comments and I hope you enjoy them.

Happy Halloween!!!

I had a blast this weekend with taking all sorts of pictures, driving around and my cousins were up to having pictures taken, for the most part that is.. *grins*. As you can see, the younger girls loved having their pictures taken and I didn't mind capturing them at all. Truth be told, I enjoyed taking the pictures as much as they had fun doing the things kids normally do.

I will try my best to upload the rest of the pictures later though I seem to be having uploading problems at the moment and it's getting late. So please enjoy what I've uploaded so far.

Busy Week!

Good Morning :)
It has been quite the week to say the least. I should be sleeping to be honest but I wanted to blog a bit before trying to get a bit of shut eye. I have been meaning to get these pictures posted for a few days but with a combination of schoolwork, babysitting, family and other things, I haven't had a chance to. As you can see, my insignia has changed a bit. I decided to give it a Celtic touch since I love the Celtic symbols and culture so much. I also decided to group some of the pictures together and due to the fact that I have taken quite a bit of pictures, I decided to just include some of them.The order is rather random though all part of the fun. Enjoy!

Leaves and Babysitting

Wednesday I was asked to watch my cousin's almost 6 month old while she went to run a few errands. I was out in the yard with him as he was enjoying playing and attempting to eat the leaves. I decided to grab my camera and snap a few shots. The one below is a picture of his big brother who just turned three this spring. They are quite the duo and growing up so fast! The picture below is also their mom's favorite *grins*

Darkroom, Rainy Days and Clouds

Good morning!
It's been a bit since I've posted something so I felt the need to post some pictures. It's been a busy weekend to say the least hehe. The good news is that I'm all caught up on homework for my online classes, I am getting over my cold and I have more books to read. I had hopes to try to apply for a Library Assistant but alas I was a day late and they weren't accepting any more applications. Atleast I offered my resume and gave it my best shot :). So here are the pictures. The first two are pictures I took and developed when I was Senior in high school. I have more pictures somewhere around here. It was a lost of fun learning to develop and would love to do it again someday though most people have gone digital. There are times where film cameras can bring out amazing shots. I will try to keep more on tab of things but can't guarantee it. So anyways, enjoy!

A Day At The Beach

Good morning!
Well I meant to get this out before 1 am my time but I got distracted and there were quite a few pictures to go through. I did manage to limit myself a bit so I wouldn't place them all on here. Sadly I cannot spend the day at the beach for quite some time as I'm not close to any at the moment. These pictures were taken in early March while visiting a friend of mine. I love the ocean, it soothes me in a way that is hard to describe. I miss it just talking about it lol. May you enjoy the pictures I've uploaded. I am off to bed now, have to be up early to babysit and do a bit of homework *grins*

My Muse is in the House!

I think I am starting to learn a few more tricks to the trade so to speak now that I have been working on pictures for close to about three days now. I spent a lot of time uploading pictures to deviantart http://celticmeg.deviantart.com/ as I hadn't updated in quite a while. It was frustrating having to go back to reedit and remember to add my logo. I think I am starting to get a hang of the logo now. I came across some great inspirations and I really think I should look into taking photography classes. Never hurts to have a different perspective and I would love more tips about editing and what not. Below are more pictures that I found in my folders. I have so many photos to take care off though many of them are blurry and what not so it saves me a bit of time. I think those are the ones I forgot to delete when checking them out. Well I am going to head to bed as I've been up since early morning and it's going to be a long day I have a feeling with having to babysit tonight. Ah well I still have a lot of pictures I want to play with as well as I need to do homework and see if I can may shoot some new pictures. Have a great weekend!

What A Day, What A Day!

Good evening,
I have spent most of the day playing around with the many pictures I have in my various folders. I have about a year's worth of pictures that I am itching to play with now that I seem to have the creative bug. I am not sure if I am going to post them all here but I think it's great practice for me to look over my older photos and see how far I have come since I first got it in October of last year from a friend who was selling his camera because he had bought a new one. I love my Canon Cybershot 7.1 mega pixels and I continue to learn more about it each time I decide to snap pictures. Eventually I would like to get a Nikon that is 10+ plus mega pixels but alas it is in a price rang that I cannot afford at the time. Perhaps someday :). So without further ado, here are some of the pictures I found. All but the last were taken sometime in May. The last was taken end of September and I took so many pictures at one time, I thought to combine. I love taking pictures of nature, especially sunrises and sunsets.

Weekend Fun In Tomah

Good morning, Wow has it been a while since I've blogged here. Well there's no time like the present though I really should consider sleep after I post. This past weekend, I was asked by my cousin to drive to Tomah to do her hair and of course I brought my camera along. Sometimes it seems as though my camera is another attachment and when I lost the charger for a bit, it felt so strange not being able to carry my camera around. So without further ado here are some of the pictures I took. I haven't uploaded them all but I did upload some of my favorites. I felt like a mixture of beautician, photographer and general supporter. I had a blast! I may upload random pictures later but will have to wait and see.

Well I just wanted to say hello. I LOVE this place. It's where I can go and talk about things Irish, listen to Irish music and hear the occasional Irish voice.
